Planning Solutions was established in 1995 and traces its history back to the Rank Group, where it was formerly The Rank Holidays and Hotels Developments division. This division was responsible, amongst many other projects, for the development of the Oasis Forest Holidays product (subsequently acquired by Center Parcs) and the rebranding Warner Leisure Hotels.
Since then, Planning Solutions Limited, has invested in, developed and managed a number of tourism businesses, other than Adventure Land, including CONKERS, The National Brewery Centre (the former Bass Museum in Burton upon Trent), Kent Life Heritage Farm Park in Maidstone, The Royal Esplanade Hotel on the Isle of Wight, Vertigo Adventures High Ropes Course in Welwyn Garden City, a Super-Tubing adventure experience in Ebbw Vale and Onboard TV an onscreen advertising service on Wightlink Ferries. Planning Solutions sister company, is a specialist tourism, heritage, leisure and economic development consultancy. They prepare business plans (including for National Lottery Heritage Fund projects), carry out operational reviews, prepare visitor experience masterplans and destination management plans.
They work across the visitor experience and tourisms sectors. From country parks through to museums, nature reserves, visitor centres and attractions, watersports and activity centres and visitor accommodation.
